STONE: Thermal Mass

When stone is used as a building material within the thermal envelope, it acts as a heat battery. When placed correctly this passively stabilizes the indoor climate. This study is a small cabin with a structural wall of stone which separates the space into different climate zones. The conditions can be controlled opening and closing doors and windows between themselves and the outside.
