Part 2/5 of master thesis
Supervisor: Olav Kristoffersen
The concept of Topological Interlocking Assembly was first described in 1699, but due some physical barriers its use has been limited. Using modern stone masonry technology, I designed a bridge using this system of stone units. Reciprocally holding each other while f precisely cut holes allow a mesh of steel wires to absorb the horizontal forces. The result is this beautiful mosaic optimized for quarrying and transport.
